Cambodia’s Senate President Hun Sen declared on Friday (Jun. 27) that Cambodia cannot work with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, accusing her of betraying her nation by discrediting Thailand’s military to gain his favor. "Attacking your own armed forces to please a foreign leader is treason," he asserted during a meeting in Preah Vihear province.
Hun Sen condemned Paetongtarn’s recent allegation that Cambodia is a hub for online scams, calling it a grave insult. He warned, "I cannot forgive you. Cambodia will wait for a new Thai leader." He also dismissed claims of interfering in Thai politics, stating he was merely exposing her "disgraceful conduct."
Additionally, Hun Sen challenged Thailand to send envoys if they wished to discuss Thaksin Shinawatra’s family matters directly.
