PHNOM PENH — Moving from classroom research to practical application in the agricultural sector, electrical students at the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI) have developed an automated 'Solar Greenhouse' system.
This innovative project integrates solar technology with smart irrigation and environmental controls to optimize crop growth. By utilizing renewable energy, the system reduces electricity costs and minimizes human labor, offering a sustainable and efficient solution for modern Cambodian farmers.
The Solar Greenhouse is designed to monitor temperature, humidity, and soil moisture, making adjustments automatically to ensure the best environment for crops. This achievement underscores the growing quality of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Cambodia, showcasing students' ability to innovate and solve real-world problems through advanced technology.
