Cambodia Rejects Thai Claim of Drone Incursions, Reaffirms Commitment to Ceasefire
The Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia has categorically rejected Thailand’s claim that more than 250 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) crossed into Thai airspace from Cambodia, calling the allegation unfounded and inaccurate.
In a statement issued on December 29, Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence, said the ministry “categorically rejects the announcement made by the Thai side on December 29, 2025, claiming that it ‘detected more than 250 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying from Cambodia and violated Thailand’s sovereign territory.’”
She said the Cambodian government and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces fully deny the accusation and reiterated their commitment to existing bilateral agreements aimed at maintaining peace along the border.
“The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces reaffirm their firm and sincere commitment to the steadfast implementation of the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of General Border Committee (GBC) between Cambodia and Thailand dated December 27, 2025, and the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand signed on October 26, 2025 and other related agreements,” the statement said.
According to the ministry, these efforts are intended to ensure a rapid return to peace, stability and normalcy for communities living along both sides of the border.
The statement also stressed that strict measures have been enforced to prevent any drone activity. “The Ministry of National Defence and provincial administrations—particularly those along the border—have issued strict instructions to prohibit the launch of all types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). We confirm that no such drone launches have occurred,” it said.

នៅក្នុងសេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍មួយដែលបានចេញផ្សាយនៅថ្ងៃទី 29 ខែធ្នូ ឧត្តមសេនីយ៍ឯក ម៉ាលី សុជាតា អ្នកនាំពាក្យក្រសួងការពារជាតិ បាននិយាយថា ក្រសួង «បដិសេធយ៉ាងដាច់អហង្ការចំពោះការប្រកាសដែលធ្វើឡើងដោយភាគីថៃនៅថ្ងៃទី 29 ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ 2025 ដោយអះអាងថា ខ្លួន «បានរកឃើញយន្តហោះគ្មានមនុស្សបើក (UAV) ជាង 250 គ្រឿង ដែលហោះចេញពីប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ហើយបានរំលោភលើទឹកដីអធិបតេយ្យភាពរបស់ប្រទេសថៃ»។
លោកស្រីបានមានប្រសាសន៍ថា រដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា និងកងយោធពលខេមរភូមិន្ទបដិសេធទាំងស្រុងចំពោះការចោទប្រកាន់នេះ ហើយបានបញ្ជាក់ជាថ្មីនូវការប្តេជ្ញាចិត្តរបស់ពួកគេចំពោះកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងទ្វេភាគីដែលមានស្រាប់ដែលមានគោលបំណងរក្សាសន្តិភាពតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែន។
សេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍នេះបានឲ្យដឹងថា «រាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជា និងកងយោធពលខេមរភូមិន្ទសូមបញ្ជាក់ជាថ្មីនូវការប្ដេជ្ញាចិត្តយ៉ាងម៉ឺងម៉ាត់ និងស្មោះស្ម័គ្រចំពោះការអនុវត្តយ៉ាងខ្ជាប់ខ្ជួននូវសេចក្ដីថ្លែងការណ៍រួមនៃកិច្ចប្រជុំពិសេសលើកទី 3 នៃគណៈកម្មាធិការព្រំដែនទូទៅ (GBC) រវាងកម្ពុជា និងថៃ ចុះថ្ងៃទី 27 ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ 2025 និងសេចក្ដីថ្លែងការណ៍រួមស្ដីពីកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងសន្តិភាពរវាងកម្ពុជា និងថៃ ដែលបានចុះហត្ថលេខានៅថ្ងៃទី 26 ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ 2025 និងកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងពាក់ព័ន្ធផ្សេងៗទៀត»។
យោងតាមក្រសួង កិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងទាំងនេះមានគោលបំណងធានាការវិលត្រឡប់ទៅរកសន្តិភាព ស្ថិរភាព និងភាពប្រក្រតីយ៉ាងឆាប់រហ័សសម្រាប់សហគមន៍ដែលរស់នៅតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែន។
សេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍នេះក៏បានសង្កត់ធ្ងន់ផងដែរថា វិធានការតឹងរ៉ឹងត្រូវបានអនុវត្តដើម្បីទប់ស្កាត់សកម្មភាពយន្តហោះគ្មានមនុស្សបើកណាមួយ។ សេចក្តីថ្លែងការណ៍នេះបាននិយាយថា “ក្រសួងការពារជាតិ និងរដ្ឋបាលខេត្ត ជាពិសេសរដ្ឋបាលខេត្តតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែន បានចេញសេចក្តីណែនាំយ៉ាងតឹងរ៉ឹង ដើម្បីហាមឃាត់ការបាញ់បង្ហោះយន្តហោះគ្មានមនុស្សបើកគ្រប់ប្រភេទ។ យើងបញ្ជាក់ថា មិនមានការបាញ់បង្ហោះយន្តហោះគ្មានមនុស្សបើកបែបនេះកើតឡើងទេ”។
