Trump declares Thailand-Cambodia conflict over
US President Donald Trump has announced on social media portal Truth Social that the fighting between Thailand and Cambodia has ended and the two countries will return to peace in accordance with the original treaty that was recently agreed upon.
On the Truth social media platform, Trump said, “I am pleased to announce that the breakout fighting between Thailand and Cambodia will stop momentarily, and they will go back to living in PEACE, as per our recently agreed to original Treaty. I want to congratulate both great leaders on their brilliance in coming to this rapid and very fair conclusion. It was FAST & DECISIVE, as all of these situations should be! In the same message, Trump took a harsh attack on the United Nations (UN), saying that the United States seemed to have become the “real United Nations” after resolving and stopping eight wars in the last 11 months.
He criticized the UN for providing too little help in conflicts, including the war between Russia and Ukraine, and urged the world body to “start being active and truly involved in world peace.”
